For some reasons, faux have always had a reputation for being cheap no matter how much better it actually seems at the moment. I mean, aside from comparing it to the real deal, where do we really draw the line between imitation and fake? Bottom line is, material things are superficial anyway - it’s the substance that I think are lacking these days, between being “genuine” and “fake."

Being inspiring is one thing, but it’s boring when everyone wants to be an inspiration all of a sudden. There’s already more than enough quotes about all these generic aspects of life that are pretty much common sense just phrased in a clever way tossed around everywhere. See, words aren’t enough to inspire me-- actions, experiences and lessons do. At the end of the day, it’s not what we actually quote, but who we quote from.

Explain less, do more. I believe in giving people the benefits of the doubt. To support, but not to smother. There’s no reason why you need someone to tell you to chase your dreams for you to do it. Don’t do anything for any other reasons but because YOU want to. If you want something bad enough, you’re already half way there.

What inspire and motivate me are people who have passion and drive for the things that they practice everyday, and not what’s at the end of the rainbow. They’re not the ones who only talks about the goals and dreams that they want accomplish over and over again, but the ones whose voices shake when they talk about their visions, and even the thought of it not coming true scares them to the point where they can barely swallow their words. They're the people who make you wonder how they find enough time to do everything that they managed to get done in a day. And the people who values quality over quantity.

And so, while we might accept everything and anything that's faux for now, just remember that it’s not real. Work on yourself, instead of investing in other people’s words. It’s all in the details.

I hope you guys had an amazing start to the New Years. Here’s to new perspectives, projects, photos through different lenses, and destinations to come for FOREVERVANNY. For me, I just hope to be a reminder for all of you to be your own inspiration.
