Mustard At Dusk

Top from South Moon Under, shorts from Zara, Soludos espadrilles in classic stripes, and bag by Rebecca Minkoff.

When it comes to colors, I really think that tangy colors are my "spirit animal" colors. I love a blood-orange type of red, and a bright but bold yellow in some kind of mustard shade. Something about these colors are so complimentary to everything in my wardrobe. These colors brings out some of the best basic pieces in my closet that I tend to forget every now and then. Coming across these shorts at the Zara sales, I really pictured it with a gathered pleated blouse that would add an element of texture and compliments the waist-belt of these shorts, however, after trying it on with most of my white/cream tops, this one stood out the most. I love the neck to shoulder detail on this top, especially because it's carried through the front and back of the shirt. While it is important to stock up on basics, I always try to collect some white tops with unique details as well, you really don't know when you'll need that little extra oomph. The hem was so delicate that I decided not to tuck the shirt in. This was perfect since it did what I intended to do, which was highlight the waist-belt that was attached to the shorts. Of course, my recent go-to shoes have been so comfy and so good to me because they go with basically everything (I really mean it).

Thanks for reading through and I hope you have a great week ahead! :)
