Shorter Days for Longer Scarves

SHOP THIS LOOK:

'Morning-- hope you guys had a safe and wonderful Halloween weekend!

I just wanted to squeeze in a few more fall outfits before it starts snowing here in New York, which could literally be anytime to be honest.

While I didn't have time to blog or post #ootds as often as I usually do in the past couple of weeks, fear not, you didn't miss out on anything since I've been wearing pretty much the same old stuff. Although I tend to try and not wear clothes from past year or seasons (idk if that's really a thing, but apparently it is), however, there are always pieces that end up being exceptions.

I think that it's safe to assume that it's every girl's dream to own a Burberry trench; it's just so classic and timeless that I just can't even justify with words, but since I'm not at that point in my life where I can comfortably own one, I tried my best to find a trench that was similar in not only design but also quality. I came across this trench last year at Gap when it was on sale for 50% off (Gap always have these crazy deals during the holiday seasons) and immediately fell in love with it. I've been meaning to find a tailor to slim down the sleeves a little bit, but everything else about this trench is perfect, the color, length and the buttons (the buttons are so important because I can't even tell you how many time I've seen a beautiful trench that's ruined by fake-looking, plastic, and/or glossy buttons!!).

Pair this lovely trench with a simple white top and black pants and you have a solid outfit. I love how my Acne Studio Jensen suede boots added an element coziness to the outfit along with my olive scarf. I'm very picky when it comes to ankle boots and these are so perfect that I'm thinking of getting them in leather as well!
