If there's one fashion rule that I'll always be happy to break, it's wearing white after Labor Day. Until this point, I still have no idea where this rule arrived from- but even without trying to be a rebel or anything- I will gravitate to not just the color but full monochromatic creams and other shades of whites throughout the entire year.
We're well into September now, and I know I've been a bit behind on keeping up with the blog - but with a dress as seasonless as the Merlette Soliman Dress, I think you guys will forgive me right? As lovely and flowy as this dress is in white, I have to say that it does make for a very risky dress on a windier day (something I don't see many online reviews of this dress addressed). The thin fabric also makes it a bit see-through on super sunny days (but this is forgiving since there's so much fabric draping around). Dressing up a piece like this for Spring and Fall is quite effortless- an oversized cardigan or leather jacket would do, so it's a piece you'll see me wearing often from here on out.
