I can't believe it's already December. I spent my Thanksgiving break in New Orleans and came back to a whole new month and a huge load of work. I was hoping that the weather would be a little less cold in New Orleans, but the week I was there, it was chilly in the low 40s early morning and late at night.

It was great that I found this Theory coat before the trip because the cashmere blend wool is super light and warm (which was more than perfect). I'm usually dressed in monochrome, but I've been loving the combo of denim and gray wool this winter. Since I was expecting warmer weather, I packed my new favorite Citizens of Humanity 'Avedon' skinnies. I love the blue of this wash, and the mid-rise for some reason suits me better than their high-waisted Rocket skinnies. Paired this with some of my favorite staples and I was out and about all day exploring NoLa.
